For a number
of years the focus of our Fine Arts Gallery has been original artwork
by local artists, with an emphasis on work that was a "labor of love"
rather than work produced with the market in mind.
Recently, with so much happening politically, ecologically,
financially, and every other way imaginable, we've felt drawn to
utilize the gallery space in a new way that we believe will prove to be
as interesting and provocative for our visitors as anything we have
done before.
As an experiment, we intend to focus less on artwork by community
artists and more on exhibits which express our personal interests and
our response to the events we notice occurring in the world around us.
We will view the gallery as a forum for ideas, and as a forum we hope
that our visitors will be drawn into thoughtful response toward
whatever appears there.
Please come in and see what we have to offer. Where appropriate, we'll
make means availble for you to respond and offer feedback.
